Senior Community & Skilled Nursing Facility
Our facility truly has so much to offer in the way of comfort and convenience. We have electronic lifts to facilitate transfers of residents that need assistance, and a skilled nursing staff. When it’s time for relaxation and fun, there is plenty going on with community events and offerings. We also ensure plenty of space for quiet time as that is essential to many people’s happiness as well. We have beautiful outdoor shaded seating areas, a lovely raised “victory garden” as well as a large pavilion near our quaint pond. If sitting by a fire and enjoying some outdoor cooking sounds ideal, you’ll enjoy our food smoker and fire pit. You may also use the pavilion to host parties such as family reunions and anniversaries, or just for fun!

History of Ohio Valley Health Care
Ohio Valley Health Care opened our doors in 1951, originally as Ohio Valley Nursing Home, owned and operated by Michael Miller’s mother, Hellen M. Daniels. Michael took over operations upon her passing in 1975. Shortly thereafter, construction began on the current building we now call Ohio Valley Health Care, that he runs with his wife, Brenda Miller. Serving as a traditional nursing home for many years, in 2002 we began taking skilled rehab patients, adjusting our senior care services from intermediate care to a skilled nursing facility.
Since then, we’ve developed a full in-house therapy staff to address occupational, physical and speech therapy needs for our senior community. It has been our family’s passion for over 40 years to ensure the senior community is properly represented and taken care of and we are honored for the lives we’ve touched and time we’ve spent with so many wonderful people.
Testimonials
“My mother was taken care of and treated with dignity and kindness. She was known by and spoken to by all staff with genuine concern. Mom was bed and chair bound for almost a year and when she transferred to my home she was ulcer free. Thank you for such care at a time when she needed it so much. A fine facility!”
“They took very good care of my mom when I couldn’t.”
